Fourth Session: Visit to Ege University Continuous Education Center

This morning, we have been invited  to the Continuous Education Center  by  Filiz, who is the  education coordinator here.
This center offers a large amount of courses which are taught  by  academicians and teachers.
 Despite being under Egei University rules, it is working differently than its faculties.

They offer free&payment courses to all people in Izmir. That is why this Center is working like a private education company but in fact, it is not.


In addition, they are also members of different councils of University education centers.

In the morning &afternoon sessions, after being informed about the studies of this center,we learnt how to focus  on the subjects. It is nice to see the whole parts in SWOT Analysis.
 SWOT is the acronym for (Strengths,Weaknesses,Opportunities &Threats).
Later, in the afternoon session,we practised the steps of Problem Analysis and  Target Analysis  as well as how to create a strategy analysis.
After having focused  on strategy ,it is now easy to find the right activities for the problem. These strategies must be applied to get our goal: Solving early drop-out rate in education.

Third session

We have visited another centre for women where students attend several courses and activities in order  to obtain an official certificate. A wide range of studies can be chosen by users, such as Pilates, primary school course, sewing and make up course.

We also have been invited to a public adult education center where we have had a meeting with the principal and he explain their working system and also we dealt with the topic: drop-out in adult education.

Here women learn also marketing skills as they sell their own

handcraft at the baazar.

Yesterday we also visited  an education centre where women learn different subjects .

Here women study languages such as English,Turkish, physical exercise,sports,reading ,writing & communication skills.

Second day

Second day at school, we have spoken about adult education in Spain and in Turkey, and also, we discuss about problems we can find in this area.
